Booking Conditions



Reservations for self-catering accommodation are accepted by City West Accommodation as owners and as agents for the Owner of the properties, are subject to acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

Circumstances beyond the control of City West Accommodation (Force Majeure)

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these conditions, City West Accommodation and the property owners shall not be liable, jointly or individually, for any changes, cancellations, effect on your holiday, loss or damage suffered by you or for any failure by the accommodation providers to perform or properly perform any of their respective obligations to you which is due to any event(s) or circumstance(s) beyond the reasonable control of the accommodation provider concerned (referred to as ‘force majeure’ in these conditions).

By way of example, force majeure includes fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, destruction, acts of terrorism or damage of accommodation by any cause (other than negligence of the accommodation provider) and all similar situations. In appropriate cases (for example where your booking has to be cancelled before departure) we on behalf of the accommodation provider will, however, refund to you all monies paid to us by you for the accommodation affected.

No compensation, expenses, costs or other sums of any description (including without limitation the cost of securing alternative accommodation) will be payable in such circumstances by either the accommodation owner or City West Accommodation. We will endeavor to find you accommodation in the same area of an equal or better standard.



Our responsibility to you for your Booking

As we have our own properties and act as a booking agent we have no liability for any of the accommodation arrangements (including any shortcomings or defects with or in any accommodation) and no liability for any illness, personal injury, death, damage or loss of any kind, unless caused by our negligence or that of any employee of ours (providing they were at the time acting in the course of their employment). We cannot accept any liability for any act(s) or omission(s) of the accommodation providers or anyone representing, or employed by, the accommodation providers. Please also refer to Section 1 (Force Majeure) above.

Any claim arising from your stay in the accommodation and/or the act(s) and/or omission(s) of the accommodation provider or any employee of the accommodation provider must be brought against the accommodation provider directly The accommodation provider shall have no liability for any illness, personal injury, death, damage or loss of any kind unless caused by the accommodation provider’s negligence or that of any employee of the accommodation provider (providing they were at the time acting in the course of their employment). You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property.

No liability is accepted by City West Accommodation or the accommodation provider in respect of damage to, or loss of, such personal property except, in the case of the accommodation provider, where the damage or loss is caused by accommodation provider’s negligence or that of any employee of the accommodation provider (providing they were at the time acting in the course of their employment) or, in the case of City West Accommodation, where the damage or loss is caused by the negligence of City West Accommodation or its employees (providing they were at the time acting in the course of their employment).

For any claim made against us, which does not involve death, illness or injury, any liability we have is in any event is limited to that provided by the courts in the jurisdiction of the state of Western Australia.

Appliances and Utilities


City West Accommodation is not responsible for any failure of utilities, essential services or appliances. Please report any failures as soon as possible and every attempt will be made to contact the appropriate authorities or organise appliance repair or replacement. However, immediate repair may be beyond our control. No refund or discount will be deducted from tariffs for unusable appliances awaiting repair.

Arrival and Departure

So as to allow time for the apartment to be cleaned, guests are advised that check-in time is 2.00pm and departure time is at or before 10.00am. By prior arrangement early check in or late check out is available at $10.00 per hour.
 

Booking Deposit 
A deposit will be required to secure a booking, unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation Policy

Two weeks notice is required. If the property can be re-let for the cancelled period, then the cancellation fee will be refunded less an administration fee of $100.00. 


Check In/Check Out

Check in time is 2.00 pm unless by prior arrangement. Check out time is 10.00 am. Should you wish to extend, please email or contact us on 08 9755 2266 to confirm availability.
A late check out fee may apply. There is no refund for early departure unless by prior arrangement (see cancellation policy).

Cleaning Service Fee


Our vacate cleaning fee includes a standard cleaning charge to cover changing linen and 4 hours cleaning. If the apartment requires additional cleaning when you depart, we will pass on this to you. The charge from our contract cleaners is $35.00 an hour (extra on weekends and public holidays). You can avoid this charge by following these steps:
  • Wash all dishes and return to the cupboards that they came from.
  • Take all rubbish to the bins.
  • Put all used towels in the bathroom (do not leave wet towels on beds).
  • Wipe down kitchen.
  • Ensure food or dirt is not left on floor or walls.
  • Clean BBQ grill if provided.


Consumables

A starter supply of toilet paper, dish washing detergent, washing machine powder & hand soap is supplied. Please ask for the location of your nearest convenience store or supermarket.


Description

City West Accommodation has described the property to the best of its ability and will not be held liable should the property be deemed unsuitable on arrival.


Furniture in Apartments

Please do not move furniture around in the apartments or holiday houses. Our cleaner is generally on his/her own and cannot move the furniture back. We then need to arrange for 2 handy men to assist and will charge the additional cost to your credit card.

Governing Laws

The laws of the state of Western Australia, govern these terms and conditions. You as a renter regardless of the situation of the property, or where you are located, agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.

Guests Property

All personal belongings, luggage, vehicles and other property belonging to the Guest shall be the risk of the Guest at all times and neither City West Accommodation or the property owners accept any responsibility for any loss or damage thereto.

Group Size

Under no circumstances may the number of persons residing at the apartment exceed the maximum number of guests confirmed at the time of booking. Should this condition not be adhered to, additional charges may be incurred.

Insurance

You are strongly recommended to take out adequate holiday insurance. It is your responsibility to check you have adequate insurance cover. The insurance should cover, amongst other things, the cost of cancellation by you, all medical costs and the cost of assistance including return to your point of origin, in the event of an accident or illness.

Internet Access

Most apartments are provided with wireless broadband internet access. Please confirm availability prior to booking. Additional charges may apply to certain properties.

Keys

Will be available on the day of arrival unless otherwise arranged. On departure please leave the keys on the dining room table and lock the door before exiting. Please note that lost or not returned keys (this includes electronic access cards) will incur a replacement charge of $45.00 each unit. Remote controls for garages, gates, access fobs and door locks will incur a replacement charge of $95.00 per unit.

Linen

Sheets, blankets, pillows, mattress protectors, towels, hand towels (where required), bath mats and tea towels are provided in the apartments. We provide quality bed linen in the apartments - please do not allow massage oil to come in contact with the sheets. Damaged sheets and bedspreads will be charged to your account.

Maintenance

A maintenance form is provided in each property. Please complete for any items that require maintenance. Any damage that occurs during your stay will be charged to you at replacement or repair cost.

Parking

Guests must only park cars in the designated areas and assigned parking bay. Parking for one car only is provided unless otherwise stated at check-in.

We accept the following methods of payment:

If you pay by EFT this should reach our account net of all bank charges. Please show your name and invoice number on the transfer. Email confirmation should be sent following the transfer. Please note the following surcharges apply; VISA & Mastercard 1.00%, American Express 3.575% & Diners Club 3.443%


Power and Cooling/Heating Charges

These services are included in the daily tariff. Electricity use is capped at $5.00 per day per property let. Please assist by turning air-conditioning/heating off when leaving the property.


Rates [Tariff]

Please note that our tariffs are subject to seasonal variations and may have a loading for public holidays and long weekends. Tariffs will be confirmed on request for a quotation.

Receipts

A ‘Tax Invoice’ receipt is issued on request for all transactions.


Security Deposit

A credit card authority is required to guarantee payment of charges for damage beyond fair wear and tear.


Smoking

All properties are Non-Smoking. If we find that you have smoked in the property during the stay we will charge you $250.00 to remove the smoke odour. Suitable areas are provided to smoke outdoors at all properties. Please do not smoke next to an outside door and allow the smoke to drift back into the property.


Swimming Pools

Swimming pools are open during daylight hours only. Swimming pools are for guest use. Glass containers and food are not permitted in the pool areas. Swimming pools do not have a lifeguard and children under 15 are not permitted in the pool areas unless supervised by an adult. Please respect the conditions of entry posted in the pool areas.


Telephones

Not all properties have a telephone installed - Please check before booking.
All call types, local, STD/ISD 1800, 13, 1300, 190 are permitted. Charges for calls will be added to your account.


Your Behavior

When you book a property through City West Accommodation, you accept responsibility for the proper conduct of yourself and your group during your stay. The accommodation provider reserves the right at any time to terminate your stay or that of any member of your party due to your or their misconduct, where justified in their reasonable opinion. Full cancellation charges will then apply and no refund will be given. Furthermore, neither the accommodation provider nor City West Accommodation shall be under any obligation whatsoever to pay compensation or meet any costs or expenses you may occur as a result of your stay being terminated. If your actions or those of any member of your party cause damage to the accommodation in which you are staying, you must fully reimburse the accommodation provider for the cost of the damage before departure. You must also indemnify us against any claim (including legal costs) made against us as a result.

Booking Conditions - addendum

Each property is provided with a full set of linen made up on each bed. Unless prior arrangement has been made for servicing the property is let as ‘Fully Self Contained.’ There will be a complete change of linen provided. We ask that the beds linen be changed regularly or as required, but before the sheets and towels become stained and severely soiled.
Should you choose to not change the bedding with the linen provided and our laundry is unable to return the linen to a serviceable condition then a charge will be made as follows;
  • Set of sheets King/Queen Single $75.00 per set
  • Towels Hand Towel Bathmat $15.00 ea

The kitchen is furnished with a comprehensive range of appliances, crockery and cutlery. Please advise us if anything is missing and we will endeavor to provide a replacement. Only the cream coloured plastic containers are designed for use in the microwave oven. The clear plastic storage containers will be damaged if used in the microwave oven and replacements will be charged at cost.

Our Privacy Policy

Our Office is bound by the Information Privacy Principles of the Privacy Act 1988.

It is our usual practice to collect personal information directly from you.

Sometimes we collect personal information from a third party if you have consented or would reasonably expect us to collect the information in this way, for example from publicly available sources such as websites or telephone directories.

We do not collect personal information about you if you only browse this website. We do keep a record of the IP addresses of web visitors who contact us via our Contact Us webpage as well as from those who perform Availability Searches.

We only use your personal information for the purposes for which you give it to us and for related, internal management purposes.

We will contact you by email except in relation to a specific Booking query or confirmation you have made. We do not give information about you, to other government agencies, organisations or anyone else unless one of the following applies:
  • You have consented
  • You’d expect us to or we have told you we will
  • It is required or authorised by law
  • It will prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to somebody’s life or health or
  • The disclosure is reasonably necessary for law enforcement or for the protection of public revenue
We analyse non-identifiable website traffic data to improve our services. You may access personal information that we hold about you or you can ask us to correct personal information we hold about you. This will attract an administrative fee.
